Details of the meetings in the series (seven online meetings):
The book "Between the Fragments: Trauma, Coping and Hope," which was published about six months ago and edited by Dr. Boaz Shalgi and Prof. Sharon Ziv-Beiman, was born in the wake of the intense collective trauma we have been experiencing in Israel since October 7, 2023, and offers ways to cope with its various types and faces.
The seventeen chapters of the book, written by leading professionals in their fields in Israel, attempt to describe, explain, and illustrate the mental traumas that many people in Israel have experienced and are experiencing since the events of October 7 and the war that broke out in their wake, and to conceptualize the therapeutic principles in dealing with these complex traumas and losses.
The current series of meetings was created out of the great interest the book aroused among the professional community in particular, as well as among the Israeli readership in general. Its goal is to create and offer, through a meeting between the various authors, additional perspectives on the ideas presented in the book.

For this purpose, we invited to each meeting several of the book's authors whose chapters touch on each other, "correspond" with each other, and most importantly, have the potential to create additional and new ideas, courses of action, and coping tools.
We hope that the series will enable both in-depth dialogue between the authors and between them and the participants, in order to promote dialogue, enlightenment, and the strengthening of the therapeutic community's ability to offer supportive coping and hope - amidst the fragments.
