Training group description:

This group offers a space for training, learning, and processing for therapists who are involved in supporting families affected by the events of October 7th.

During the sessions, we will combine theoretical discussion with discussion through cases from the therapists' clinical work, while creating a safe and supportive environment for shared thinking. We will use the participants' knowledge and experience, the feelings and experiences they have accumulated, and the issues that arise from the case treatment in order to expand thinking and refine the therapeutic position and therapeutic interventions.

Participants will be invited to bring issues and experiences for discussion from their therapeutic work and clinical practice.

The group discussion will focus on processing the presented case and responding to the needs of the case presenter, while conceptualizing and analyzing the described therapeutic processes and suggesting resources and tools to advance treatment.

Goals of the training group:

1. Creating a safe space where therapists can be in areas of doubt, hesitation, and ignorance, and allow for exploration and shared thinking out of curiosity and confidence.

2. Strengthening understanding and treatment skills through the lens of trauma.

3. Strengthening the therapists' ability to formulate a case and specify therapeutic goals.

About the lecturer: Michal Ziv

Lecturer and instructor at the Mifrasim Institute for Psychotherapy Research and Teaching, and in the "Ogen" program for integrative psychotherapy studies at the Tel Aviv-Yafo Academic College. Lecturer on behalf of the Haruv Institute. Teaches and instructors on parenting therapy, trauma therapy, AEDP, attachment-based therapy, and integrative therapy for children and adults. In her private clinic in Tel Aviv, she treats parents, children, and youth, treats adults with the AEDP approach, and is a couples therapist with the EFT approach.
