Course description :

The events of October 7 and the "Iron Swords" War created a complex reality of dealing with a unique trauma that included, among other things, the relocation of entire communities from their permanent place of residence to a temporary or alternative place of residence, for an unknown period of time. This situation requires special attention to issues such as community preservation, adaptation at the personal, family and social levels to the new reality, vague loss and mourning, dealing with uncertainty, and more. In addition, consideration must also be given to the host communities and the interrelationships between these two communities.

The course will allow for an in-depth look at these issues while addressing the creation of a safe space as an anchor for working with communities displaced from their homes following the war.

2. Understanding the Israeli national trauma in the context of changing communities

3. Acquiring tools for community work - from forced change to adaptation
