The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 24, in person between 12:00-1:30 PM. The events of October 7th and the "Iron Swords" War created a complex reality of dealing with a unique trauma that has not been studied in Israel until now, and the therapeutic experience in it is limited. Veteran therapists from all over the country, trauma specialists and long-term treatment experts in various approaches have come together for this unique therapeutic work since October 7th. This training group helps to understand the ambiguous trauma, its unique treatment stages and its implications for the various families and circles, as well as for the returning hostages themselves.


The group's purpose:

Provide emotional and social support, as well as knowledge on coping with ambiguous loss.


Possible discussion topics:

  • Triggers and dealing with them (posting videos, demonstrations, cabinet meetings, etc.)

  • Challenges and difficulties

  • Personal experiences

  • Mutual support and encouragement

  • Coping tools

  • Alleviating loneliness

  • Knowledge of relevant concepts such as: vague, but frozen loss, learning to live with ambiguity, but deprived of rights, survival satisfaction, and more.


About the offerings:

Margo Moyal, MBA, expert in dealing with loss and trauma, experienced in facilitating support groups, director of the assistance program for families who have experienced sudden loss

Keren Cohen, a clinical psychologist and instructor, has experience working with bereaved families and facilitating support groups.
