Thirty-two migrant workers, most of them from Thailand, were kidnapped on October 7th in Gaza. They came to Israel to work and support their families, but found themselves in an unimaginable situation of captivity, in the midst of a conflict they had no connection to. Because of the cultural differences and disparities, treating the foreign returnees was complex and required special thinking and adaptation. So this time, we are with Daniel Porat, a clinical psychologist, the only Thai-speaking mental health professional in Israel, the man who treated the Thai abductees.
