Safe Harbor (“the Website”, “we”) is committed to protecting users’ privacy in accordance with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 1981, and specifically Amendment No. 13, which came into effect on August 14, 2025.

1. Who We Are

Safe Harbor is an academic-professional website of The Academic College of Tel Aviv–Yaffo, operating in the field of mental health and community support.

2. Information Collected

Direct Information – Name, email address, and any other details voluntarily provided by you (for example, through contact forms).

Technical Information – IP address, browser type, usage times, and browsing patterns collected for security and service improvement purposes.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • Responding to user inquiries.

  • Operating, maintaining, and improving the Website.

  • Statistical and research processing.

4. Principle of Transparency

In accordance with Amendment 13, we specify the purposes of processing, the identity of the data controller, contact details, and parties with whom information may be shared.

5. Information Security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect against unauthorized use. However, complete security cannot be guaranteed.

6. User Rights

  • The right to review information.

  • The right to correct or delete personal information.

  • The right to object to unlawful processing.

7. Appointment of a Privacy Officer

At present, there is no legal obligation to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO), though the appointment of such an officer is being considered beyond the requirements of the law.

8. Registration of Databases

The Website will continuously review its obligations regarding database registration and will act in accordance with applicable law.

9. Supervision and Enforcement

The Israeli Privacy Protection Authority is authorized to supervise and impose sanctions. The Website undertakes to cooperate with the Authority as required.

10. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this document.
